OK…if you go to the Eggplant and are not satisfied with either the taste or portion size (for the money), I would be shocked!
This place makes the bast sandwiches going all on their freshly baked Italian bread. My favorites are the One Stop chicken sandwich and the Po’ Boy, which is just out of this world.
In the summer, homemade Italian Ice is a must as well.
This is one of the few “must eat at” spots in Oneonta!

The Undercover Eggplant has, without a doubt, the best sandwiches in the area. Sandwiches are big, tasty and are served on freshly baked bread. Side salads and soups are also great. The people are friendly, service is fast. If you enjoy good food, you owe yourself a trip to the Undercover Eggplant

Fresh baked bread with mouth-watering deli meats and delicious pickles. These sandwiches are the best I have tasted. EVER. The New-York Pastrami sandwich and the Roast Beef sandwiches are amazing.
The sides are pretty good and the assortment of drinks for sale includes some unique finds (like Grown Up Soda). It’s a bit off the beaten path from central Oneonta, but it’s worth the trip.
… I told everyone I knew how amazing the sandwiches were when I took my first bite.
This is already a local favorite of mine and I’ve only lived here three weeks!

This place has the best food ever! The sandwiches are amazing… its operated by the famous FALCOS… it is one of the best places to eat in NY. I recommend it to EVERYONE. Everything is homade on the spot…the workers are so pleasant and nice…best part CHEAP PRICES…and the soups…salads…sandwiches are HUGE… it’s worth the trip down go check it out!

Okay, so if your reading this right now, stop what you are doing, get in your car/bike/ whatever and go immediately to Undercover Eggplant because its amazing. Literally the best you can get when it comes to delis.
Try the Eggplant Special or Chicken Parm and take a loaf of bread with you home. The pizzas are suprisingly great also. My favorite is the broccoli white pizza..

This place has a good assortment of stuff…. Their soups are real good.
They have several sandwiches on homemade bread including chorizo, eggplant, mozzerella and tomato, etc… They also have pizza, and homemade pretzels….
They have Grown Up Soda (Gus) too, which is pretty hard to find in the area.

Best sandwiches in town! They also have salads, soups, desserts, various drinks, homemade Italian bread, and amazing Italian ice. I’d recomend it to anyone. Used to be open until 3, but now their open unitl 7pm and Italian Ice until 9pm.
